Soho Sumo legal information
Cookie Policy

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files placed on your device. Similar technologies, including local storage, can also store information on or read information from your device.
2. How Soho Sumo uses cookies
This website uses essential storage needed to remember your cookie preference and to support basic site functionality. We also use Google Ads conversion tracking, which is a non-essential advertising technology. It is loaded in a consent-aware mode: advertising and analytics storage are denied by default and are only enabled if you choose "Accept all" on the cookie banner. If further non-essential analytics, advertising or tracking tools are added later, they will only be activated where the required consent has been obtained.
3. Essential cookies and similar technologies
Essential technologies are used to make the website work, keep it secure, remember your cookie choice, and submit forms. These do not require consent where they are strictly necessary for a service you request.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
sohoSumoCookieChoice | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected non-essential cookies. | Local storage | Up to 6 months, unless cleared sooner. |
| Cloudflare form handling | Processes form submissions you choose to send. | First-party service (no cookie) | Data is processed by our Cloudflare Worker and emailed to us; nothing is stored on your device. |
4. Non-essential cookies
We use Google Ads conversion tracking (gtag.js, Google tag ID AW-18370350563) to measure how effective our advertising is. It uses Google Consent Mode, so advertising and analytics storage are set to "denied" until you accept. If you reject non-essential cookies, the tag stays on the page but does not set advertising cookies or use your data for personalisation; Google may still receive basic, cookieless information such as your IP address for security and aggregate modelling.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_gcl_au | Google Ads conversion tracking. Set only after you accept non-essential cookies. | Third-party (Google) | Up to 90 days. |
_gcl_aw, _gac_* | Records that you arrived from a Google advert, so a resulting enquiry can be attributed to it. Set only after you accept. | Third-party (Google) | Up to 90 days. |
Google acts as an independent controller for some of this data. You can read more in Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses cookies in advertising. If tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or similar are added later, this policy will be updated and the cookie banner will continue to prevent those tools from setting cookies until consent is given.
5. Managing your choices
You can accept all cookies or reject non-essential cookies using the cookie banner. You can also reopen cookie settings using the footer link. Most browsers also allow you to block or delete cookies and local storage.
6. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when our website or cookie use changes. The latest version will be published on this page.
